FOTOFILE. Mark Amis' Transport photos (Railways)

I'm in my mid 30's and I've been taking transport photos since 1989 now with over 100,000 in my collection.
Not all of my pics are shown here, if there is something you require that is not shown, please get in touch. If I have what you want I may be able to supply it.

I'm originally from Oldham, near Manchester moving to Bristol in 1998. Therefore, my gallery will have a North West / South West bias but I intend to cover as much of the country as I can. Some European operations will be covered as I try to make regular trips to northern Europe and Ireland.
I started with digital photos in 2002 - a selection of which appear here. I used a Fuji Finepix S5000 until June 2007, I currently use a Fuji Finepix S6500FD.

2	999 701 & 999700. This Plasser & Theurer UFM160 inspection unit was passing northbound though Eastleigh on 28/4/06.	Network Rail & Track Maintenence vehicles.	(6)
3	SNCB/NMBS Type I11 DVT at the head of an IC service from Ostende to Brussels and Eupen calls at Bruges on 6/7/05. A cless 13 loco is providing the traction and the opposite end of the train.	SNCB/NMBS	(4)
4	Manx Electric Railway meets the Snaefell Mountain Railway. This picture illustrates the gauge differences between the two lines. The MER is 3'0 whilst the SMR is 3'6. This siding is present to allow the transfer of SMR stock onto skates to enable them to be taken down to Derby Castle works in the rare need for major work to be carried out. 5	Isle of Man Railway No 11 "Maitland" undergoes final preparations at Port Erin shed on 22/5/06 before hauling the 10:15 service to Douglas.	Isle of Man - Narrow gauge heaven.	(3)
6	Great laxey Mines Railway loco "Bee". This loco is a replica built in 2004 to operate the former mine railway in Laxey. Seen here with the passenger car.	Isle of Man - Narrow gauge heaven.	(3)
7	Manx Electric Railway No 44 and No 22 depart Groudle Glen for Ramsey on 21/5/06.	Isle of Man - Narrow gauge heaven.	(3)
8	Isle of Man Railway No 11 "Maitland" captured running round the stock at Douglas on 22/5/06. This Beyer Peacock 2-4-0T loco was delivered in 1905 and is still going strong.	Isle of Man - Narrow gauge heaven.	(3)
9	Groudle Glen Railway "Sea Lion". Now over 100years old, this loco operated on the original Groudle Glen railway which left Lhen Coan and operated round the headlead to Sea Lion rocks where in Victorian times there was a zoo.	Isle of Man - Narrow gauge heaven.	(3)
10	Manx Electric Railway No 6 and trailer No 41 at Laxey on 19/5/06. This was my first pic of the impressive veterans. This car is easily identifiable from a distance as it is the only operational car with a single windscreen.	Isle of Man - Narrow gauge heaven.	(3)

Isle of Man - Narrow gauge heaven (47) Several railways operate on the Isle of Man, the IOM Steam railway, the Manx Electric Railway and the Snaefell Mountain Railway are part of Isle of Man Transport. Others include the Groudle Glen Railway and the Great Laxey Mines Railway.
